my friend sarah was looking through the classifieds and found an ad that was perfect for me. some gay guy is looking for a girl who loves movies (especially the hours) has a dark sense of humor, is out of shape but has great style to be his partner in crime. i'm not going to answer the ad, because i have a weird feeling the guy is one of my friends friend. and if it turned out to be him, it would be weird, because he would be like "your humor is dark?" since i'm not as talkative around him. i am slowly going insane. i've lived years and years with family and relatives that are OBSESSED with politics. this is why i'm political. it's not by choice, i've had to hear this shit for my whole life, constantly. but i guess it has made me more open minded. because when they debate, i hear both sides. but with this war going on, the political discussion has escalated. and i know to the general public, my not wanting to hear about this war seems selfish and spoiled, but if you lived with my family, you might understand. today, i spoke up, and said that i would have rather gone to the gym then had to hear this. this didn't please too many people. but the people that tend to debate, don't LISTEN. at all. at all. it drives me insane. and some of them are becoming millitant liberal (i don't know the term for it), the type that preach peace, but say that all that aren't for peace should be executed for war crimes. execution for peace is like fucking for virginity, FUCKERS. my cousin from france is coming here on friday. i can't wait till she's here. i swear she's the only person who actually listens. she always tells the rest of the family that i'm smart. but they don't believe her, because "i don't talk." this is because i can't get a word in edge wise. what else am i sick of? i understand this is an emotional topic for everyone. but when people make political decisions based on anger and sentimentality their logic tends to go out of the window. i see the whole "you're either with us or against us" mentality on both sides of the spectrum. the people i've come across that are very against bush, seem to have the same mentality. i'd link to past entries... but i remember at a certain job of mine, during the last presidential election, the people were offering to give rides to all those people who hadn't voted yet. this was conditional though, if the people were going to vote bush or nader they would lock them in their office. i could go on and on, but i think i'll go read more about ghandi instead. |
